History of TITAN

TITAN was founded in a small laboratory in Barcelona in 1917 Joaquín Folch Girona, who was a respected and recognized expert in plumb mining. As a result of his hard work, the name Titanlux became synonymous with excellent quality and service. 

The company's foundation was built on research, development and innovation. That philosophy of dynamic research and innovation helped TITAN to emerge from both WW2 and the Spanish civil war even stronger. During those difficult times another unique range was created: TITAN Oil Colours. The quality was so good that famous artists in Paris exchanged two tubes of their best french oil colour to one Titan tube.

Respect for the environment in the industrial activity of TITAN is an essential part of our work. This is recognised throughout the process of manufacturing within the company, from the labaratory right up until the ready-to-use manufactures coatings. This attitude has helped the company to achieve the quality and ecological excellence certificates AENOR and ISO 9001.

TITAN Extra Fine oil colours

With a range of 87 colours, Titan oil's have always stood out for their quality, stability and lightfastness.

These oil paints have a high concentration of pigments, which make them particularly vivid. They are also very stable and resistant to light. You can use TITAN Extra Fine oil on canvas, of course, but you can also use the product directly on prepared wood, cardboard, etc., provided that they are watertight. The paint may be applied with a brush or spatula and the drying time may vary considerably depending on the thickness of the color layer, temperature and humidity. In any case, it is an excellent product.

Titan Goya
This is a luxury oil paint for less money. They were developped for artists who require dependable quality at an economical price. Each colour is uniquely formulated to bring out the maximum brilliance and clarity of the individual pigment. We have tested them and their lightfastness as well as their viscosity holds up toTitans professional line of oil paints.
